Simon Kernick, the bestselling author of SEVERED and RELENTLESS, shares the inspiration for one of his novels when asked where he gets his ideas from:
It varies. I’d love to be able to say I could get them off nightmares but I just get these ideas sometimes. For the sixth book I woke up next to my wife one morning, in bed and I just imagined what it would be like if I opened my eyes and I was next to a headless corpse.
