How To Be Featured on At Central Booking
1. Complete the appropriate questions for the section you hope to be featured on.
2. Include all relevant information requested.
3. Attach the document with the questions and answers to an e-mail.
4. In the subject line of the e-mail put the feature section title followed by the author’s name (for example, Lie Detector, Sandra Ruttan… or Solitary Confinement, Declan Burke… or Death Row, Ray Banks). This enables us to organize the features we’re receiving so that they aren’t overlooked. ONLY ATTACH ONE FEATURE PER E-MAIL. If you wish to be featured in more than one section, you must send a separate e-mail for each section.
5. Address e-mails to atcentralbooking.mbs@gmail.com
6. Do not put the questions and answers in the body of the e-mail. Please don’t include lengthy correspondence in the e-mail. Our objective is to keep updating the features on this site regularly, and lengthy correspondence will delay our efforts to process your submission. Other than the exceptions noted for Lie Detector, Gen Pop and Snitch, we are not requesting any correspondence in the body of the e-mail.
7. It is the author’s responsibility to include the requested bio and website link. Once features are added to the site, we will not be responsible for changing them or adding that information if you did not include it with your submission.
8. Do NOT include review requests with your submission. ARC offers for Spinetingler Magazine and Mystery Bookspot should be sent to reviews@mysterybookspot.com
DEATH ROW **please note, you may complete this for yourself, your protagonist, or both of you.
It may, or may not be a wrongful conviction, but you’ve been found guilty and sentenced to death. Tell us how you’ll spend your last hours.
Victim
What’s on the menu for your last supper?
Priest, prostitute, lawyer, lover? Who’s your last visitor?
What’s the last book you’d choose to read?
Given the choice, what’s your preferred method of execution?
Ideally, what will it say on your headstone or in your obituary?
Please include a short bio of fifty words or less, with a link to your website if you wish to have that included.
LIE DETECTOR **please note, you only complete half of this interrogation. Lie Detector profiles depend on us finding a suitable alternate party to answer the questions for your book. DO NOT include such material in your submission. You may (with their permission) include an e-mail address to your editor, but only if you have contacted them about participating prior to contacting us.
** Also, if you add something for “Other Sins” please clearly include this in the body of your e-mail, in case the person processing your e-mail is going to rate your book, so that they know they need to answer that as well without seeing your score first.
You may include a short comment after each header, along with your rating for your book.

WIRETAP

VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
Have a book trailer of your own, or another you’d like to see hosted on our site? Send us the Youtube link and we’ll share it with readers and viewers here. This feature is aimed at raising awareness of quality book trailers and, hopefully, raising the profile of the books.
Please include a short bio of fifty words or less, with a link to your website if you wish to have that included.
PAROLE BOARD
Parole Board is looking for reviews written by you (not about your book), articles on reviewing issues and topics.
Please include a short bio of fifty words or less, with a link to your website if you wish to have that included.
GEN POP
Anything goes. Have a creative story you think might fit the bill, want to dish on crime fiction, talk about stale plot lines or innovative books? Just give us a short summary in the body of the e-mail so that we know what you’re tackling.
Please include a short bio of fifty words or less, with a link to your website if you wish to have that included.
CRIME FAMILIES
If you've never lived with an author, sometimes you have no idea what they put their families through. Who steals dinner conversations and uses them in plots? Who eavesdrops on phone conversations? Who talks to themselves? Sometimes, we'll have our own guests here, answering questions for us, and sometimes we'll feature extracts from author interviews.
- Authors, you have two options. One is to write up something original for us, a funny or interesting story about how your writing affected your family life. The other is to quote from an existing interview. We will only use interviews that are sourced properly (either by link or publication and date).
Please include a short bio of fifty words or less, with a link to your website if you wish to have that included.
SOLITARY CONFINEMENT
Tell us a bit about how you work. You can answer the questions, add anything below, or write your own paragraph about how you work (250-500 words.) Name:
Where do you write? Can you write when traveling?
Can you work with music or the tv on?
What are the five things you must have when you’re working?
What’s the strangest place you’ve ever been when struck by a flash of inspiration and started scribbling notes down for a story idea?
If you have a very interesting story about the writing process or something that happened when you were writing a book, include it at the end.
Please include a short bio of fifty words or less, with a link to your website if you wish to have that included.
